چکیده
Background: Celiac disease is an autoimmune for which there a known environmental trigger i.e., gluten. Adherence to gluten-free diet the mainstay of treatment. Methods: This observational prospective study was conducted in Department Paediatrics, SP Medical College, Bikaner between August 2020 2021. Newly diagnosed celiac patients below 14 years age were included excluding with any associated co-morbid conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension and Hypothyroidism. IgA-tTG titre complete blood counts performed at time diagnosis, repeated after 3 months strict diet. The collected data coded, tabulated analysed. P values < 0.05 statistically significant. Results: mean decreased from 116.28 diagnosis 50.98 (p = <0.001). Also, MPV 9.58 9.19 change significant 0.032). When two biomarkers compared as being better diet, weak positive correlation observed but not 0.212). Conclusions: showed that Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) levels can be used short-term biomarker check adherence

Both, celiac disease and IgA nephropathy are autoimmune diseases that are IgA mediated and share multiple clinical, pathophysiological, genetic, nutritional and immunological aspects. In view of recent observations and wider understanding of the central role played by the intestinal ecosystem in celiac disease and IgA nephropathy development, the present review highlights those shared aspects, ...

Evaluation of Gluten-free Diet on the Heart Functions in Children with Celiac Disease
Background Celiac disease (CD) is an autoimmune mediated gluten sensitive enteropathy and a chronic inflammatory condition caused by immune pathology in the small intestines in genetically susceptible individuals. This study aimed to determine the efficacy of gluten free diet on cardiac functions using conventional and Doppler tissue echocardiography (DTE) in children with CD compared to contr...

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) and the gluten intolerance disease, celiac disease, (CD) are immune-mediated diseases. Better testing for antibodies associated with CD, including anti-gliadin antibody [AGA], as well as anti-endomysial and anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies, has improved the diagnosis of CD. Certain neurologic conditions have a reported association with CD. Previous res...
